PlusNet was the overall leader in a poll of internet service providers, conducted by a UK online portal.
The survey asked 4,000 broadband customers to rate their provider on various criteria, such as clarity of pricing and speed of service.
It was shown that 79 per cent of PlusNet customers were either satisfied or very satisfied with the service they were given by the company, particularly in the quality and reliability section.
Sky Broadband came in second, topping the section for clarity of pricing and billing, followed by Pipex and Tiscali UK.
