Mobile Phones Now Outnumber Landlines in UK Telecom Market

For the first time ever, more households in the UK now have a mobile phone (93%) than a landline connection (90%), according to a recent study by Britain?s telecom regulator, Ofcom.

Mobile phones currently account for about one-third of all calls in the UK, and are put to numerous other uses, Ofcom?s report says.
