ABC Audit attendance figures have this week been confirmed for IFSEC – Security Solutions and Network Advantage 2005 with a record turnout of 31774* visitors at the NEC Birmingham for the 33rd edition of the world?s leading security event.
Visitor numbers well and truly exceeded last year?s event by an impressive 26% (ABC Audit 2004- 25203 visitors) with the show attracting specific interest from security professionals and end users as well as new visitor groups including a wealth of IT professionals, systems integrators, VARs and business managers who witnessed first hand the convergence of the IT and security markets at IFSEC 2005. Exhibitors were very keen to rebook their stands with 80% of next year?s show now already sold out.
With packed aisles and feature areas constantly buzzing with activity and networking, IFSEC 2005 was a very busy four days for everybody involved, particularly for IFSEC exhibitor, Mike Davies, Business Development Manager at Securec Ltd, who commented ??this is probably the best IFSEC I have attended, we have already made our money back after only one month.?
?This year we witnessed the highest rise in visitor attendance in the history of IFSEC. Positive feedback from exhibitors and an unmistakable buzz in the halls made it clear IFSEC 2005 has performed remarkably well.
Such an impressive rise in visitor footfall cements the dominant position of IFSEC as the definitive event for the entire security industry and
beyond- present and future,? says Simon Parker, group director at CMPi.
