Phillip Shortman, 18, was sentenced to 12 months’ youth custody for conning 84 people out of £45,000 for non-existent goods.
Magistrates in Abergavenny yesterday heard he launched another scamafter his release on licence last month. Shortman, of Pontypool, south Wales, made £8000 by selling bogus tickets for the sold-out Grand Slam showdown between Walesand Ireland.
