The chief developer behind Firefox has announced the next version of the open-source alternative is to be delayed three months, so testers can ensure the software is up to scratch.
Mozilla engineer, Ben Goodger, said the release of browser version 1.1 is being postponed to allow more time for patches to be landed, tested and bug-fixed.
Posting on his blog last week, Goodger said the decision has no bearing on his new job at Google, despite speculative reports in the press.
?In a move that I would hope should surprise exactly nobody, we?re pushing back 1.1 by a little because of the realities of the work remaining to be done,? he said.
